unlink error

Can anyone tell me what this means?

Warning: unlink() failed (Is a directory) in /home/dhill/simplebit-www/dillenger/img_del.php on line 2

I was trying to delete an image that was on my server with the unlink() code... is this the proper way to do it?

Yes, it means you're trying to use unlink() to delete a directory. At least, that's what you're telling it to try and delete.
