You're familiar with the function phpinfo?
Create and save this in a php file:
<? phpinfo() ?>
The output of this function is a long page of information about how your v. of PHP is configured, including all the extensions it includes. Your distribution may already have such a file in it, ready to run.
Then crossreference with the PHP manual, downloadable from PHP.net. Many windows differences are noted in the manual.
Then you still have problems (welcome to windows PHP), check the comments at the end of the problem functions as found in the online manual of php.net. Many developers describe specific variations and workarounds for windows implementations.
