New To Xp

Ok. Im just got Xp Installed, and previuously had a PHP version on another computer.

For some reason the Apache Works Properly. I try to install PHP and it gives me an error. Saying. httpd.conf not edited properly or something. The thing is i have put this in the file

ScriptAlias /php/ "c:/php/"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml

Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe"

And yet it still doesnt work.

I then tried with the localhost. but it wanted to download it cos it was photofile according to a program i have on the computer.

I then changed that to open with notepad. Now i see the source code..

Can anyone help

The last computer that you had PHP on, was it a windows computer? cos as far as I know, if you are using apache, then the configuration should be pretty much the same on this system as the last one.

Well yes it was Win98 so thats the reason i posted. I did everything the same. But i do have Apache 2.0 but the same version of PHP. So thats the reason i posted..

There shuoldnt be too much difference when setting up PHP with apache 2. Just make sure that you have the latest version of PHP, cos the older ones dont work with apache2.

Thanks i got it to work. I dont know what happened. But i did something right for it to work..
