NIC Cards with Redhat

Hi first of all let me say these forums look like a really great place and thats why I'm posting. Now heres my problem 🙁

I've been screwing around with Redhat/Slackware/Mandrake for about 1 month now and I just couldn't get my NIC Card to identify. I went to 3com and of course the card is outdated so there are no drivers. So with Christmas just around the corner I was going to ask the parents for a new card but I really need to know what has worked for you guys. If you could give me the specific card # or maybe a place where I could purchase it that would be great, thanks!

What model 3com do you have? I've not come across many (especially old ones) that aren't supported.... you just need to load the proper module.

also, what versions of RH, SW, and MDrake are you using... it might help us to know. Oh... and the type of card. Need to know the card name and version number.
