Interfacing PHP with C language shared library/object

Hi,

I had a php installed on RedHat Linux, Apache server. Through PHP I want to access some of user defined function whose implementation is in shared library(for eg. test.so).

So con some is able to give some information that How it can be done. If there is any documentation, then can some on sents its reference also.
