Working with a string

Hi, I have a string $newline, after every 40 characters of the string, I want to enter a <br>. What is the easiest way to do that? Thanx!

Also, what is the easiest way to make a page automatically refresh itself 30 seconds after it was loaded? Thanx!

To do the string thing:

for ($i = 0; $i < strlen ($newline) - 1; $i += 40) {
 print substr ($newline, $i, 40)."<br>\n";
}

To make your page refresh every 30 seconds:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="30">
Put that somewhere between your <head> and </head> tags

You can also use javascript to reload a page.


<script type="text/javascript">
setTimeout("location.reload()", 30000)
</script>

The second arg to setTimeout is the amount of time in milliseconds.

header('Refresh: 30; url='.$PHP_SELF);
// maybe you may just header('Refresh: 30;'); ???
