Ok ive only recently been doing OO.
So this may not seem very informative to you.
Imagine running and up down stairs for a day. The first few times you ran kinda at the same speed. After a while you start slowing down. Eventually there is a sign that your going slower.
Mysql For example say theres roughly 400rows or so in one table. It has to find the table then find in that table something like a persons name.
Now that will be slower than finding it from 1row right. Well yes.
Those are two example i have. Now when you think how slow can it get. Depending on what happens in a class not much. It can get to 1-2seconds slower than if you just had functions and not classes to do all the work.
The bad point is. You can have hundreds of functions that are similar but you have to make them. When a class you can just add 1 line to do it.
Like all things OO has its advantages and disadvantages. I think that the advantages overcome the disadvantages.
