php will not display in browser

here's my code:

print("Hello World!");

using XP pro, IE6.0, using [1]ASP server, and [2]Unix server.
both show nothing. coworker's: same. friend in another company: same.

url = "http://www14.brinkster.com/dcparham/php1a.php"
this is the ASP[windows-based?] server

hey, JUST got it to display on my Unix server host[Apache].
still cannot get it to display on the ASP server.

hi bernouli! what i mean is an ASP server, such as www.brinkster.com, web hosting for ASP accounts. able to run ASP files from there.

BTW, now in my php file, trying to use print or echo, get msg:
Parse error: parse error in /usr/local/plesk/apache/vhosts/cshlaw.com/httpdocs/php_test1a.php on line 26

line 27: print ("hello")
print "hello" fails too.

same line with print command
gives the parse error
