send spreadsheet as email attachment

I'm on Win2K/IIS5 & NT4/IIS4 and am using the popular mime_mail. On Linux I can use it fine, but on Windows, what I'm stuck with at my current job, it won't send binary files or files larger than a few Kb.

Does anyone know of a way? I've modified the script to read in binary mode and, of course, set the content_type accordingly. I can attach the script, if anyone weants to see it, but it's the same stuff I used for a year or so on Linux to send zip and tar files (some rather large).

I can use the script to send text files and small images with no problem.

if you wanted to post the script, I could test it out on a box here, see if I get the same error, may help some eh? 🙂

Markus Weller had this same problem a year and a half ago (I saw his post here). I emailed him to see if he found a solution. He had and sent me the code he found. I've attached it for any who have hit the same problem.

no worries, I may not know the answer for a lot of stuff, but it's amazing what another set of eyes will see sometimes eh? 🙂
