Regex Confusion

Why won't that work, I get this error

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_LNUMBER, expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /home/virtual/site82/fst/var/www/html/info.php on line 23

Im trying to replace whatever is in the (\w+), but Im calling the function get_value to replace it. Why can't i use $1 to declare whats between the ()'s??

Yes, the second argument is supposed to be a string (even with the /e modifier); and the contents of the string need to be valid PHP code (after the $1 substitution).
