choosing more then one choice, hold ctrl to make happen

What im trying to purform here is from a list, lets say a list of states, here is some example code--

bunch of states in here!!

<OPTION VALUE="WI">Wisconsin</OPTION>

<OPTION VALUE="YU">Yukon</OPTION>
</SELECT>

if they hold down ctrl they can choose more then one. Well im lost on the back end. What I would like for the next page to show is a list of all the states they have choosen. Looks something like this-

You have choosen these states-
Arizona
utah
Nevada
etc
etc

Im not sure how on the php script to get the states to show in this manner.
Any help, this is my first thread ever, im totally new to this site, and my friend is not around to help me out like usual. So if i didnt make this clear enough please let me know.
