Could someone please give me a run-down on how to install Mcrypt on a Windows 2000 server? I understand that you need to compile the source code using, I believe, the CygWin compiler. Could anyone please explain the entire process to me?

You'll get better results if you say what you've already done. Have you installed the compiler and read the help file, and now have a question, or is your question whether or not that's the place to start (by doing such an install)?

FWIW, that (CygWin compile) sounds right...

    😉

Well, actually, my host has only Windows 2000 servers and I told them I need them to install Mcrypt support for PHP, and that they would have to use the CygWin compiler to compile the Mcrypt source. Unfortunately, not one of his guys knows how to do this.

Trying not to LOL, that's why I'm my own host and I do it on 'Nix....it's not that I'm the world's greatest at anything, but I can RTFM until it becomes obvious what I've got to do to get things up & running....

I'd head to the Cygwin site, I guess....
