mail() problem!!

HI,

I'm having the following problem with mail():

mail() can't seem send mails to mobile phones([e-mail])

But I can send mail to regular addresses like [e-mail], and my other email addresses.

Can someone help PLZ!!

So, it's not a question of message size? If you have such a phone, you are probably well aware of a limit. I wonder if the size of the header fills the message buffer. I may experiment with this problem myself as I have been working on the side to do a "form to cellphone mail" page myself.

FWIW, AT&T Wireless has not shown themselves (IMO) to have put a lot of thought into getting their net to jive with the Inet at large, but I have found their tech types to be quite responsive if you climb high enough up the tree.... 😉

Just out of curiousity, are you getting an error mail in reply?

This worked, for me, to [e-mail]:

Note I did no sanity checking and the number was input straight 10 digits into a text field, a la xxxxxxxxxx (IOW, this ain't production ready....)

Whew, what a delay figure...looks as if that part of the net is toast from here....no ping, no traceroute. Of course, they could have that shut off....as I mentioned before, their net doesn't impress me....Interestingly enough, however, that's the same server mine went to.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Can you send from any old mail account to the phone? Or is it just the PHP server having trouble?
