insert lots of data to db

Hi everybody
i have two tables. one of them is students the other is lessons.

im selecting a class and listing the students. and i want to add all of these listed students "Absent" who didnt come.

if 10 students are listed i want to add 10 students' absent field (which is fulled with absent) to database.

what can i do know?

i think this code is entering lots of data. but idont know how can i do it.
