I've been trying to get PHP running on Redhat to connect to a remote SQL Server install running on Windows. I downloaded and installed the base sybase package from sybase since the PHP docs say to use the sybase drivers under linux to connect to sql server. Other information I have found says to use sybase-ct or FreeTDS, however, the means of doing this are not clear. I found an article on this site about doing this, but I ended more confused after I read it than before. The article does not make clear whether to use the sybase drivers, FreeTDS or both. The article also doesn't make clear where or how configuration options go. Has somebody done this succesfully and be willing to help me out? TIA
