all my large files images are stored on my friend's server (lets call it "Homestead" with tons of bandwidth, and i keep my php files on another server (lets call that "Happy9") i have a lot of pictures, but now i want to add a watermark to them without editing/reuploading them one by one

so after doing ImageCreate to ImageJPEG, does the output image use up my Homestead bandwidth or Happy9's? .. or both?

For the creating part, it will use the upload bandwidth for Homestead, and the download bandwidth for Happy9.

For the saving part, where are you saving it? If you're saving it in Happy9, then no bandwidth is used. If you're saving in Homestead, then the download bandwidth for Homestead, and the upload bandwidth for Happy9 will be used.

Remember, network transfers involve 2 parts: one sender and one received. The sender will use its upload bandwidth, and the receiver will use its download bandwidth.

everything is made on the fly at good ol' happy9 im just worried that all its bandwidth will go down the drain

You can install PHP at home, and run the PHP script for half of the images at home, and half on Happy9...and if you have friends who would lend you their computers for that purpose it'd be better...
