Hello,
I know nothing about PHP. I've copied and pasted scripts managing a few scripts for shopping carts that way. That's it.
Recently I hired a tech to help me launch an ebook on my site using 1000 passwords and PHP with ClickBank. He was unsuccessful. He did get a PHP salespage, password page, and thankyou page up.
I'd like to try to do the rest of this, but I am confused as to the PHP pages. They are blank except for the script "are you ready to buy a password," plus a link to click on which goes to ClickBank. I cannot open the other pages he made to see those, but I am sure they just contain the essential info as well.
What confuses me, exactly, is that I am to have lots of info on the sales page, you know, graphics and all, and there is certain criteria to be met for the thankpage.
Please tell me if I am right when I assume:
I have a web sales page with the book cover and all the info about the book and that page contains a link to the PHP salespage.
Once on the PHP salespage, Customer clicks through to ClickBank to buy a password.
At ClickBank, they pay and receive one of my passwords.
(THIS is where I get very confused.) Then what? They are sent to my "thankyou page," but which one? The HTML web thankyou page? Or PHP thankyou page? If they go to the PHP thank you page, then I need to edit the one that the tech created as he didn't put the correct information in it, I know... and I cannot open it. Maybe I could just create another PHP thankyou page (There is a cut & paste script to use and I would use the "Save As" option and save a regular html page to PHP, yes?)
IF I am anywhere close to being right above, will someone please tell me what to do next?
IF I am totally lost, will someone please be from the Venice/Sarasota, FL area that knows what to do and will you please come here and let me buy some of your time to fix things up so I can get on with my life?
Thanks for reading,
Cheryl
