I'm currently working on a fantasy football website for the Italian Serie A.... and I need help...
I'm trying to construct a page where the weekly teams formations are showed so I would need:
A FORM FOR THE TEAM MANAGERS TO INSERT THE FORMATIONS to the mysql DB (I need a field named "password" to authenticate the sending...)
A PAGE WHERE THE FORMATIONS SENT TO THE DB ARE SHOWN
let's make an example
TEAM MANAGER "A" send the formation of his team through the FORM (the form has TEAM NAME, PASSWORD,18 text fields from player_1 to player_18 where the first 15 are needed, DATE (DD:MM:YY hh:mm)
consider that he can decide after 5 minutes to make a change...so I need that the new formation OVERWRITE the previous sent (the reason I need the date and time is that changes are allowed until saturday at a certain time..)
then he can go to a page named say "formations.php" to read all the formations sent...
I'm starting now with php/mysql but I'm sure that it is possible to do it...
For what I read up to know I understood I have to create a table in my DB named "formations" with the following fields
team name
player_1
player_2
....up to
player_18
time_sent
here I'm lost......
