Messages not being updated to right

Hi there,
I hope I can explain this in a way that's understandable.
Basically people posting on my forum today are not showing that they've posted even though the posts are there. This means even though someone has actually posted 3 messages it's only saying they've posted one. This also means the 'last post' section is all wrong as the new messages that have gone up aren't being mentioned there.
I haven't changed ANYTHING, it's just doing this by itself... any ideas?

where the last two posts are by member 'callow' yet in the forum parent it's saying someone else.

Replying to my own question... how pathetic lol

Anyway I have just tried to PM (private message) a new user on the site to explain the problem and all I am getting is message failed... also when posting a message on the board it's saying post failed (or something similar) but then the message is showing up (as are the pm's) but still not saying its there in the 'last post' section, nor showing up in the persons profile post numbers 🙁

PLEASE can someone take a look for me?
All you guys seem to know so much about it and I have bugger alls chance of fixing this myself without one of you friendly types helping me.
Take pity on a gal wont ya?!
