hello I want to reach a network file on windows. I tried the 2 possibilities following :
fopen("\195.18.12.5\rep\test.txt"); fopen("\asterix\rep\test.txt");
But I failed. If somebody has an idea.
thanks. RiPPeR
What version of php? What kind of network is this? (native mode, mixed, nt, vpn, yada, yada.)
I have php 4.1.2
Sorry I forget I am on an nt system
So the network is an nt4 network? So is the server? Okay . . . Ummmm. In php.ini, what are your settings for fopen?
I am on NT4/2000
the only thing about fopen in my php.ini is allow_url_fopen = On
You don't by any chance have active directory set up on the server, do you? If so, you could try the domain you set up.
the server don't have active directory and I can't active it for some internals reasons
Have I a solution without it?
Since I don't have a network at my house, I can't test any of my ideas. 🙁 Ummmm. Try: fopen("http://asterix/rep/test.txt"); and see what you get.
Thanks for information. But with this method I download a corrupted file.
I will search another solution.
Okay. 🙁
Its a right problem, not related to PHP. I also seek a way out for this.
