anyone,
please help me fast..

I have instantiated excel object using

$excel = new COM("Excel.application") or die("Unable to instantiate Excel!");

i am getting an error..
Fatal error: COM is not a class in C:\XXX\XXXX.php3 on line 22

what is the error??

Is it an installation error ??
or
i have to explictly define/declare a COM class in my program..

i am confused..

i am stuck from past 5 hours..
please help me..

hi Digital Exploit,
i tried with the code mentioned in the link.. it is still showing the same error..i think, some dll is missing in my php installation which identifies COM components..

my configuration is

php 3
Apache2.0.43
Win XP

let me know if u have any ideas.

humm I wonder if php3 has full support for com

have you tryed installing the latest php?
4.3.0RC3 I think it is

not 100%, but i think you need php 4+ for COM to work, it is a very new feature
