+ sign removed in post request

Hi guys!

Just installed 4.2.3 and noticed that the plus sign (+) is removed when doing a post request. I have entered "123+234" in a input field and got "123234" in the $HTTP_POST_VARS array in php. (tested with IE 6)

What's that? I didn't have that problem in my old php version (4.1.x). Additionally I have tried the same using GET method. Everything ran fine and the plus sign was there.

Do know know anything about that?

well, there's nothing...

I ran

	if(isset($_POST["foo"])){
		print $_POST["foo"];
	}
?>

<form action="" method="POST">
  <input type="text" name="foo">
</form>

and everything worked fine. I also have 4.2.3

Check if you have the same PHP configuration as you had before. Have a look on this parameter magic_quotes_gpc.

No, doesn't work. I have switched off magic_quotes_gpc but the + is always replaced by a space. Also tested with $_POST. What the hell is going on?

try to use different enctype for that form.

why? it's a simple easy form. no need to use a different enctype.

Have you tried to search for "+"? No chance 😉

I have installed 4.3.0-dev now and.... it's working! Don't know what the problem was but I'm glad that it's solved now.
