I have a page and I want to test its security. It has a password coded into the php file and im wondering if its possible for someone to get that. how? I want to make sure its secure and i dont have mysql

If the password is hard-coded in script, then it's rather unaccessible to hackers. (Still, it makes it harder to change the password) But your page may have other security holes 🙂

also, you can store a database or a file outside of the public html, and use php to retrieve the information. the file will be inaccessable, and the password can't somehow come off your script. Plus, if you want to change your password, you will just have to change it in that one file, instead of sifting through all your pages looking for it.
