Really Weird Problem. Request PHP ORACLE

Hey there,

I have a really weird problem with my site.
First take a look at

http://www.voidet.com/forum

Notice how there is nothing shown on the left and right menu bars, well if you go to

http://www.voidet.com/music

You will see what should be there. I think there is a problem with the processing of the php, although no errors are being reported. The way i have it setup is a bit bad, but it should work. I have sent this to about 5 people, all bewildered! Ok i have the main php form, in this case the forum template, this calls another php file which is used to format information which is being called into it, the information being from a text file. An example is below:

Main Forum Page
+
Charts.php
+
Charts.txt

But it isnt being shown. I can give you the code if you need it. Can someone please tell me whats the problem!

Are you sure you are including it properly in the forum script ?, its got to be another pice of script thats causing the problem. What else is getting run ?

Hey there,
my friend just came up with a brilliant solution. It is because of the .tpl file extension. My server doesnt recognise the file extension has php within it and in turn cannot process it like a php file. So do you know how i can solve this?

3 options:

rename the extension (to easy)
use the .tpl as include files
configure your Server to parse .tpl file using PHP

Part of that is the forum's CSS

And there is PHP in that, the include statement.

How do i do option 3

What Server are you running ?

basically redhat 6.2

hmmmm... is it running appache as the Web Server ?
anyway, look at the php install docs for you Web Server and configure .tpl the same way as .php is done, you should be able to add as many extensions as you like.

Locate the file called : httpd.conf

then locate within that :

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

The Add Underneath :

AddType application/x-httpd-php .tpl

I think that should do it ?? Please correct me if i am wrong though... 😃
