Hi,

I have a wide table with a lot of columns, and you have to scroll sideways to see it. How would I go about making links to the different cells, so that that cell is centered in the page? I've tried '<a name="1">' tags and they don't work well at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

mmm..... put a form around the table... insert some sort of input field in each cell (maybe a radio or checkbox?) and when someone clicks a link or whatever just focus on that field - off the top of my head thats the only way i'd do a horozontal change without knowing the exact coordinates and plotting the position and using javascript to move the window.... actually you could do it in a couple different ways. add up the width of each cell dynamically and use those numbers to move the screen around to where you need it.

I've just had an idea how to do it. It is a table with images, so I wil give them all a name, and use javascript to work out the centre of the image and the centre of the screen, and match them up.

or you could also get the image dimensions with php and calculate that way 😉
