Calculating Age

Hi, I'm trying to do a date comparison to calculate age. The date format is mm/dd/yy (ie. 12/17/02). I want to be able to say that is a request was input on 12/10/02 and today is 12/17/02, then request is 7 days old(and if possible, also calculate business days). Everything I've tried so far has failed. Can anyone help?
