i always compiled mysql and all works fine, bur now i have downloaded
mysql3.23.53 and i cannot to configure this why !!!, why mysql developers do that dont understanding for me problems

i have linux mandrake 8.2 and i for this time cannot understand what exactly wersion on mysql.com i need to download and how to compile this version
i also want to compile my normal mysql version like
3.23.37 but i cannot, because ! linux told to me that newly created file is older than distributed,
how to solve this problems
