$myvar1 = "Hello World";
$myvar2 = 1;
$myvar3 = false;

// and also
$myvar3 = $myvar1;
$myvar3 =  $myvar3 .' '. $myvar2;

If you need to know the value of a variable, just echo it.

$var = "my variable";
echo $var;
