Still trying to get help on the Warning errors topic.

Need help editing a cron.txt file and a db.php file to make program work.

Also need to know how to CHMOD 777 a file. Absolutely no clue.

I think I have it figured out now...at least I can get the program working. I found out that I can CHMOD something by going to the control panel and changing the permission to the numbers I needed. The instructions I have just said to chmod 777 log.txt
For a guy like me, how the heck am I suppose to know what that means? But I think I figured it out now. I don't have those warning things up above the program main screen anymore.

CHMOD basically changes the permissions on a specific file. CHMOD 777 makes a file writeable. You didn't have permission to write to the textfile because it wasn't writeable. Now that it's been CHMOD'd to 777, it's writeable and you don't get that error anymore.
