Possible or Impossible?: Creating PDF files with PHP

Hi everyone,

I hope someone here can help me.

I know that it is possible to create PDF documents with PHP
using PDFlib.

However, is it possible to use PHP to convert Word files or any other document files to PDF?

If not, does Adobe have a webserver version of Acrobat 5, which would enable users to convert files to PDF via the web. Adobe has implemented this on their website http://createpdf.adobe.com. Does anyone know how it was done?

Im not sure on converting a word file to pdf. But you can create pdf files using PHP

If you were willing to fork out for Acrobat, you'd get an ersatz printer driver that generates PDF files from documents sent to it (instead of generating files in Dead Tree Format). Have Word print to that and then grab the resulting file.
