I was wondering if there is a resource for all of the configurations avalable for PHP. It appears that http://www.php.net/manual/en/printwn/install.configure.php has a long listing but not all of them are there. --enable-tracking-vars is a configurable item I found being used in a lot of posts but is not on php.net's list.
Also, I was wondering what exactly these things do. What does --enable-tracking-vars do for me? And what about --with-servlet? What are the libraries needed to compotently configure and install PHP with these extra capabilities? And why would I use a different compiler? Is there something wrong with the default? And what's up with sablotron? Why does that not support the latest version of libstdc++? (I know that sablotron thing is not a php issue but if it is a part of the configuration then there should be a blurb on this issue somewhere)
I don't expect or even want someone to answer all these questions for me because I have a ton of them and you won't have the time. But is there a site already out there with these answers? Is there no knowledge base be it web site or book that gives an idea what all these options are good for and what all the options are?
Thanks in advance,
R. Byrne
