Str_replace: replace quote

Hello everyone;

I have a problme with parsing a single quote:

servername/page.php?target=foto's.php

I'm having problems reading this URL in PHP: seems like he truncates the URL to servername/page.php?target=foto , thinking that the quote ends the adress-string.

I can't change the name of photo's, cos' its a map on our server which may not be changed.
Can I replace the single quote in something PHP can understand?Like \' or something? Can this be done by str_replace(" ' ", "\'",$adress)?

Why don't you just test it?

Well, if PHP can't read foto's then how are you gonna let PHP read foto's to change the ' to \' ? ;]

How does foto's get into the URL? It seems like it should be converted before that's done if it's at all possible to do so. If PHP is putting it in, then using URLencode() ought to fix it - it would also fix it if the problem is the URL is inside a tag attribute that has its value delimited by ' characters (that would cut the name short before it even gets out of the browser.)
