Guidance needed.

I have two databases: Articles as A, Cats as C.
I have A.Cat which stores the Category ID and is linked to the C.ID in the Category table. I was hoping to produce a single query / looped queries to find out how many Articles are in each Category. Whats the most code economical way of going about it?

     $query2 = "SELECT count(article_id) AS sum FROM articles WHERE cat_id = $results[category_id]";

I think that would be the best way- nested queries

IM AN IDIOT!!!!

I've been using the wrong WHERE clause for the last four hours lol!

the second query should be 'WHERE Cat = $results[ID]' not 'WHERE ID = $results[ID]'.
/me flaggelates himself!

Thank you for your help, its working now 😃

Now I'm going to try and put the results into an array and work with them, I'll probably be back in hour for more help 😃
