how to FREE MYSQL PORT ???

i have 2 mysql on my system mandrake8.2
first mysql i have deleted , and now i am using mysql3.23.51 but in error log i see that port of mysql is in use, i need this port, hot to free this port !!!???

yeh it was mistake i deleted mysql, very strange but after this i cannot to find my mysql.sock, hm,

never mind about this my stupid problem, now i have repaired my server and now i can reboot my machine and all is good

ps -ef to see the process list, find the PID, then kill all the process of the mysqld by kill xxxx.

restart the mysql afterward.

Just a way in some other Linux, hope it helps.
