I'm working on a script that has to, along the line, create a few files. When it does they are created as group: apache owner: apache. Unless I chmod the files to full (777) permissions, I can't then log on through ftp and edit them. This dosn't seem very safe and I'd like to be able to work around it. I don't have other access to the server so I can't add the ftp user to the apache group or anything along those lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
