no more than 255 entries problem

Hi, I have a problem regarding the size of the entries on mysql. I have a forum. It's not possible to have an entry with ID > 255.
So when a post is posted by a user, and gets ID =255, then the table if full an nobody can post a new message ?
Why is this, and how can I fix it?

I think it has something to do with the way you created the table in your database.

please look of what type the column id is...

As the max ID being allowed is 255 this almost cetainly means that your ID column has a data type of - "TINYINT UNSIGNED".

Change the column type to "INT UNSIGNED" and all will be ok.

Here is the SQL statement -

"ALTER TABLE post
	CHANGE ID ID INT UNSIGNED AUTO_INCREMENT NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY"

Thanks !! I was THAT stupid for not seeing the problem. It was indeed set to TinyInt(3)
