Hi All,
I have a bit of a dilema here! hopefully someone can help me out, as I have been struggling with this for a few days...
We are switching software on our site, and the new mysql database structure is completely different than the old...
I have been using php myAdmin and exporting the data with full inserts. Then I use BKreplace'em (a text find and replace program)to go through and change all the column names to what the new database requires! My problem is, the old database has some extra columns I don't need, and would like to exclude from the export, without actually deleting them from the old datbase.
Is there a way I can export the data from the old database (full inserts) and exclude certain columns from the output...
I am hoping I can just enter a query....
much thanks in advance,
-paul
