Using PHP in R. Heyes' class (Html MIME mail)

I tried to put some PHP among the HTML to send it with the class R. Heyes prepared, but I had NO success.

I put <?php echo "test"; ?> on the page... but nothing appears.

Does anyone know if it is possible to make it OK?
