Passing password in Command line

I want to use the command line to run a php log parser.

the normal log parses with IExplore and has a password.

[url]Http://[/url]<mywebsite>/logs/logs.php?pass=<mypass> is the normal way i get it to run. I want to run it from the command line, but I get a access violation when I try to run it because I cannot pass the password.

Any ideas or help on using the command line to get this done would be great.

How do you run it from command line? Are you using wget or something else?

You have to encode the value of the password:
http://www.php3.de/manual/en/function.urlencode.php
http://www.php3.de/manual/en/function.rawurlencode.php

You can make a small script to generate the encoded password:

<?
$pass = "here the content";
print rawurlencode($pass);
?>

This displayed password you can take as value for <mypass> within your URL

Command line as in from a command promt

i type:

c:<path2PHP>\php -c c:<path2INI>\php.ini c:<Path2file>\logs.php

I get

X-Powered-By: PHP/4.2.3
Content-type: text/html

Access error.<br>

The normal way i run this file is from IExplore and i run [url]http://[/url]<Path2file>/logs.php?pass=<mypass>

I want to run the file from the command promt ... is that possible.
