I need some help getting started....

I am interested in learning PHP to enhance my website. My website isn't up at the moment because I am moving soon so I would have to wait for my computer to arrive and settle in, in my new home, etc. Where should I get started? As in, do I need to install anything? If so where is a good place to install whatever I need? Also, if you know any websites that have a step by step tutorial like w3schools.com's tutorials that would be great.

try this article out, its the best tutorial i have seen. It will not only teach you php & mysql, but also includes things, like installation instructions, etc...

The php manual is also helpful for a guide to setting up php on various different platforms, and can be downloaded in .chm here - http://www.php.net/download-docs.php

It is well worth buying a book on php to help get you started. There are loads of them on Amazon.
