html e-mail outlook 2002

I am having a great deal of trouble getting php generated html e-mails to work for a client of mine who is using Outlook 2002.

I copy myself on the e-mails and they look fine, no problems. I am using Outlook 2000.

I have searched high and low for any other reports of such problems but have found none.

I can successfully send plain text to this client's account from my PHP code and I can manually send HTML e-mail from my Outlook 2000.

I am using:
Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii";

Any suggesions would be most appreciated.

Maybe your client configure his/her Outlook 2002 to NOT parse HTML e-mails...I know I configure my mail client that way.

To verify that my client is receiving HTML e-mail I sent one from my Outlook 2000 and formatted the text with color and styles and they received it fine.

Unfortunately I have tried the charset=iso-8859-1 too. Sorry, I should have mentioned that in my original post.
