CHMOD failed

Hi,

Before uploading a files to server i CHMOD folder to 777.
i did'nt found any error on my script on uploading of files.
but when i am trying to download the same uploaded files from that particular folder its giving permission denied error.(using ftp)

ftp program displayed following error

550 angel.jpg : permission denied

Please help.....

What you do to your local files has nothing to do with the remote files. CHMOD a local folder only apply to your local folder, the default permission of the remote folder after you upload it (to the server) depends on how the FTP program deals with the attributes as well as the server's default attributes.

Try to see what the file permission is of the remote files before you get it.

Not using FTP functions but when in my actual FTP program i to get something similar.

When i try downloading a File(FROM the FTP Program) it gives an error permission denied. Im thinking its cos i used move_uploaded_file

But ive asked this a while ago on another board and no one could help me.

Could be something to do with the PHP script being user nobody.

Have you tried to Chown the files?

I open the control panel of website and give 777 permission to images folder.After that i not seen any permission denied error and all the images downoladed easily.

But when i was trying same thing with ftp it was giving me CHMOD failed error.
