Well, I wish everyone has a happy new year and everyone's happy and prosperous...
Now let's cut to the chase... I made a register script which sends an e-mail to the user registered with his info and an activate account link. The thing is that I've setup a sever to my PC so I can test scripts before I upload'em to the company's server I'm signed up to...
I'm using Windows, so eventually I have to use SMTP to send e-mails (except if sendmail has been released under Windows as well). I've setup IIS (only for SMTP I use Apache as the http server) to see if I can send e-mails, but everytime I try to send mail I get a server error message if I don't use authentication to SMTP and authentication failed when I use authentication.
What I want to know is if anyone can help me to configure it so I can send e-mails from my computer's server using SMTP.
