yo, i've heard that a library exists that allow to manipulate data stored in MS Excel .XLS format. can anybody tell me where to get such a library, or anything else with such features??

If you are on a Windows platform you probably have it compiled into php already. Give it a try.
hm... and what if PHP itself with all its libraries is located on linux server (actually, that's my situation)?
