I need to do the following:

Setup a bounce-handler@mydomain.com address (done).
Use the PHP mail() function to send multiple e-mails to a mySQL based opt-in e-mail list...setting the return-path header to my bounce-handler@mydomain.com address.
Forward bounced messages to a PHP script that will use a mySQL database to determine if the address has bounced more than 2 times, and if so, remove it from my mailing list.

Any takers?

I don't have a grasp on sendmail yet. If you can tell me how to forward the bounced email to a PHP script, I should be able to take it from there and write the php script to do the rest.

Im not sure if checking for bouncing has been ventured yet by anyone on these forums. You could try searching the forums, trying hotscripts. But ive never seen it actually done. Nor am i certain can it be done.
