I downloaded a tgz file from a web site on MySQL.
This file is a database but I cannot open it.
Is this file a link to a download or is it the downloaded database files.
Either way, how do I open it.
Been trying to open it all day.

TGZ is the same as .TAR.GZ, I believe. So UnGZIP and then UnTAR it.
Unix: tar xfvz filename.tgz
Windows: rename filename.tgz to filename.tar.gz Use winrar to ungzip and then untar.
