Hello.
Can anyone please tell me how do I go about bringing up a page telling my user that a search is being done, while the original page is doing it's query. Hope this is clear!

the first page may authenticate, create sessions etc but it doesn't run the query. It's main job is to create the waiting page with a meta-refresh calling the script that queries.

Here is an html example using the meta refresh tag...

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" content="2;URL=http://www.yoursite.com/results.php">
<TITLE>Please wait...</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
SEARCHING, PLEASE WAIT...
</BODY>
</HTML>

You can change the content="2; with any number, that is how long it waits on the current page
