OR in IF statement

what do i replace with the OR in the following if statement, so it decides which one to use.

if ($uname == $forgot_info_row['username'] OR ($email == $forgot_info_row['email'])) {

Well you had a little mistake in your if. You forgot to add "(" to start and ")" to end.

if (($uname == $forgot_info_row['username']) || ($email == $forgot_info_row['email'])) {

Actually that code should work, and return true if either the $username or the $email are equal to their respective "forgotten" elements.

Though it is inconsistent to bracket one comparison but not the other, it doesn't break the expression, since OR has a lower precedence than == anyway.
