mail sum on date ?!

A challange for you Guru's...here goes:

I'm looking for a php-script that mails information (like newsletter or whatever) to a person (like;subscribers) on a SPECIFIED date.
For instance; I create a newsletter on monday and want the server to send it out on friday's when i'm not working.

Is this possible at all ?

you could set up a weekly cronjob to send mail:

0 12 * * 5 /usr/local/bin/sendmail.php /path/to/ouput.txt 2>/path/to/error.err

this is just an example but the idea is this would run sendmail.php every Friday at 12:00pm
