THE WISH
I have dabbled with PHP and MySql before, however I have alwasy had a webserver to test my projects. I was hoping that someone could help me with setting up a home networked development station in sorts. This is basicly what I have to work with, and what I want to do below
🙂 I have 2 Systems both P4 2ghz connected through home networking using Windows XP Professional OS.
🙂 I want system 1 to be my development station, where i create my graphics and code.
🙂 I want system 2 to be my local webserver using apache with php and mySql installed on a partioned drive. say drive F:
🙂 In a nutshell I want to create my pages/graphics/code on system 1, upload to System 2, and preview the websites development through a internet browser (IE) on system 2
THE PROBLEM
I have gotten as far as installing Apache on the partioned drive, however cannot get MySql and PHP installed to the point that it will work. I get lost in the help files that I have to work with when installing php and mysql to work with apache.
THE QUESTION
Can someone walk me through the steps to make this happen. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
